Unplug and Recharge

Unplug and recharge. Not a log­i­cal statement…but intu­itively it makes sense.

We plug into oth­ers. We plug into sit­u­a­tions that are beyond our con­trol and cre­ative pow­ers. We plug into worry. Drama. And sto­ries that are only true for as long as we choose to tell them.  And every time we plug in, we give our energy.  We pour our thoughts, our deeds, our heart into are­nas that do not replen­ish us back.

And so we sit…tired. Drained. On the edge of deple­tion, won­der­ing where the hell our life force has run off to.

Focus­ing too much on the exter­nal schiz­o­phrenic hoopla will drive us to mad­ness. And then who can we be of ser­vice to? It’s fine and dandy to know these hap­pen­ings are going on.  But the more involved we get into energy sources that suck way more than they give, the more drained we are going to be. Pretty sim­ple, huh?

And yet we pour our­selves into the soap operas of oth­ers as well as those of our own cre­ations.  We think whole heart­edly that our presence…our nagging…our worry will make a damn bit of dif­fer­ence. And usu­ally all it does is keep the shit slinging.

This will go on and on and on…until we fall, totally spent, to the way side or unplug con­sciously and recon­nect with our own power.

We are our own best bat­tery source.  And when we come home to ourselves…when we take time to gen­uinely be with our­selves, we feel renewed.  Within us is the source. The con­nec­tion to the whole.  The giant energy wheel that flows through one and all…and you are part of the one.  And in recon­nect­ing to that, we can expe­ri­ence a vibrancy that often gets lost in the trav­els of life.

Our stress­ing about things does not make them go away.  It makes our energy go away. The way back is found through us.  Through mak­ing the time to con­nect to what we hold dear…to what brings us joy and light.  To sit in silence and find the atomic core of our very being…and plug back into the well­spring of love that is us. And from this space, just imag­ine the impact you could make in the world. Imag­ine what it would be like to give from this end­less cas­cade of youness.  There is no spent. There is no done.  You are not fixing…just lov­ing. Which is usu­ally what is needed in the first place.
