Where did you leave yourself?

Hollow heart made of puzzle pieces photo by Horia Varlan

Do you remember where you left yourself? Not your whole self…just little bits and pieces. Sometimes they get lost along the way. Left at a job. In the pile of bills and laundry. In your lunch box.  Sometimes they get stuck in time. Back in a memory.  Back in a traumatic moment.  Back when you wished you had done something different.  Just back…

Tiny fragments of you may get scattered along your way.  Like pebbles. Or breadcrumbs. You may not even realize at first. A small shard is hardly missed, when you are as grand and luxurious as you are.  Yet, after time, you may notice that you are dwelling on things that no longer really matter to you today. You may find that your mind is all over the map.  That you are tired and restless.  Those may be symptoms of your Self searching for it’s misplaced morsels.

The time has come for you to collect yourself. To call yourself home.  To go to those places that your mind had anchored into and free those pieces of you.  Sometimes it takes intention. Sometimes action. Sometimes healing the parts that have been in pain.  It almost always takes love.

Each time a part of you returns to the whole, you are rejuvenated. Greater peace is available.  Greater everything. As you are stronger. Fuller. More at home than ever before.  Don’t worry about why, simply put your energy into the return.  Concentrate on enjoying the bounty of who you are. Draw yourself back home.
